RESEARCH AND INTERNSHIP

The Jalpaiguri Govt. Engineering College Alumni Association (JGECAA) is happy to launch a unique program to encourage academic and research activities from the year 2022.

The scheme is for writing research or fundamental paper/ developing innovative physical model/ developing mathematical model. Sponsor can be Alumnus, family member of the Alumnus, or anyone related to JGEC fraternity. For each selected paper/ model, the amount of Rs. 2000/- shall be provided (amount is indicative at this stage). Additionally, Rs. 500/- (indicative) shall be provided in case the paper/ model is published in recognised journal (as per JGEC/ UGC standard guideline). Also, it'll help students to earn internship opportunity. Students may get an internship certificate from the college authority which will be beneficial for the students in professional endeavours. It will encourage students to participate in writing technical papers/ creating models & thinking fundamentally.

The program modality & amount may vary to an extent during execution based on issues unforeseen, without deviation from the principles stated above.
